On April 14th, 2016, NapaLearns held a celebration to commemorate the enrollment of over 100 teachers into the NapaLearns Fellows program. The Fellows program was developed in 2011 in partnership with Touro University as a vehicle to accelerate the adoption of innovative teaching and learning in Napa County classrooms.

While enrolled in the program, NapaLearns Fellows earn their Master’s degree in Innovative Learning and become proficient in the tools and strategies that enable rigorous, authentic and engaging 21st century learning.

“We know that in order for practice to shift in the classroom, we have to provide our educators with the time, space, and resources to grow as instructional leaders.” — Mario Piombo

From 2012 to 2016, NapaLearns has provided over $406,000 in scholarship funds to support our teachers through the program. As a result, we have seen a 93% completion rate and high success rates for NapaLearns Fellows taking on leadership roles.

Thank you to all of our donors for believing in our teachers and supporting the next generation of teaching and learning in Napa County!
