We are Merging!

NapaLearns is joining the Napa Valley Education Foundation.

Today we are proud to announce an exciting new chapter in our organization: We are merging with our longtime partners, NapaLearns.

Since 2010 NapaLearns has been a catalyst for innovation and success in all of Napa County’s public schools. Over the past decade, we have provided more than $12 million to support innovative public education programs that improve graduation rates, boost academic achievement, and ensure that students have the skills they need to compete and thrive in today’s workforce.

Combining our organizations will streamline educational programming while providing economies of scale in the areas of operations, staffing, and fundraising. These efficiencies will result in greater educational opportunities and outcomes for Napa County’s students. The combined organization will become the largest K-12 public education nonprofit serving students in the Napa Valley.

The merged organization will lead the way in providing access to music, wellness, career readiness, and teacher innovation programs to the 20,000 students and 1,000 educators in Napa County’s public education system.

The organization will retain the name Napa Valley Education Foundation and will be led by Jennifer Stewart, current executive director for the organization. After 10 years at the helm, Peg Maddocks will retire as the first and only executive director for NapaLearns. Existing NapaLearns programs and staff will be integrated into NVEF’s portfolio of programs.

We want to extend our gratitude to all of the board members, partners, donors, district administrators, educators, families, and students who have generously supported our critical work over the years. We look forward to many more years of partnership as we move forward stronger and more united than ever.

The best is yet to come, and we are still counting on your support!
