A NapaLearns Virtual Career Academy Digital Design Course
In this course, students will learn the basics needed to pass the certification tests for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) test is industry standard for recognition that the certificate holder is well-equipped for an entry-level position in Graphic Design. Coursework is presented through an online learning cohort. Most coursework is completed individually with regular class meetings for support, guest speakers, and enrichment offerings.
By the end of this course, students will be able to use Adobe Photoshop to edit and touch-up photos, create composite images, create assets for video motion graphics and understand the basics of design. Students will be able to use Adobe Illustrator to make vector-based signage, flyers, create assets for computer and phone applications, and will master the pen tool. Students will also be able to use Adobe InDesign to create layouts for various publishing media.
