Top 5 Reasons to Enroll

The NapaLearns Virtual Career Academy offers courses that you could get directly from Adobe, Cisco or Google. What makes us different is the wrap-around services we provide to the students who join us. Students are supported every step of the way, which is our secret sauce.

l. 100% Free for High School Students

Course-related costs, software, labs, exam prep, and exams are completely funded by NapaLearns donors.

If taken on your own these courses can cost thousands of dollars. But unfortunately, the success rate is quite low. Only about 10-to-20 percent of the people in these courses actually complete them. That is why we have engaged industry experts and experienced instructors to accompany you on this journey.

If you are beyond high school, we are offering discounted prices for those who can afford it or for those who work for employers with education assistance programs. Scholarships are available for individuals needing financial support.

Course Pre-Reqs & Pricing

2. Instructor Support

Office Hours, Weekly Check-Ins, Mentorship. Instead of individually taking these courses you will be part of a cohort. Your instructors will meet with you each week to review progress, answer questions, and keep you on track.

3. Industry Connections

Guest Speakers, Virtual Field Trips, Employability Skills. We will host guest speakers who work in fields related to the courses you take. In this way, you can ask questions about what really happens on the job. In addition, we will schedule virtual field trips and provide guidance on resume writing and LinkedIn so that you stand out above others.

4. Student Community

Cohort Model, Peer Feedback, Online Community. Because you are a member of a cohort, your classes are a shared experience, which allows the wealth of knowledge from the diversity of backgrounds and encourages new ways of thinking. You learn from your professors and your peers.

5. Hiring Resources

Job Boards, Placement Support, Local Employers Network. We are making local businesses aware of your achievements in these courses. In addition, you will have access to the hiring networks of Adobe, Cisco, and Google.

You’re not required to take the certification exam, but we highly encourage it. With it, you will build your confidence, your resume, and your portfolio of accomplishments for your future career!
