Heart of Napa announces community awards

Nearly 350 nonprofit leaders, volunteers, elected officials and business members filled Chardonnay Hall at the Napa Valley Expo for the third annual Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) Heart of Napa Awards last week.

CVNL’s Heart of Napa™ Awards provided an opportunity to give $22,500 to Napa nonprofits and the committed individuals who serve them. Certificates of recognition from Rep. Mike Thompson, Sen. Bill Dodd, Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry and the Napa County Board of Supervisors were presented to each recipient. Doug McConnell, host of “Open Road” on NBC Bay Area, emceed the event.
